Fake Papers Sink Bosun Before Day One
What went down
A Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) check found Ruan's Yachtmaster and medical certificates were uncertified copies, and the database photo showed someone else. Sandy also fact-checked his claim of earning a Yachtmaster on a boat in Monaco. Ruan then learned a close friend had died in a traffic accident and called Sandy to say he was going home to South Africa.
How it landed
He was gone before the first charter, the fastest exit in franchise history. Luka stepped up as bosun and Max was hired in ep 3.
