João Franco

The lowdown

The Below Deck Med alum flown in as second officer to run the deck after Luke's firing, greeted frostily by Aesha because of their history. He spent the season promising he'd changed, mentored Adam, butted heads with Culver and built a romance with Tzarina, until a messy final night out.

Season 2: Bosun · Season 4: Second Officer

📍 Where are they now?

He went from deckhand to bosun to captain. After serving as bosun on Below Deck Down Under Season 4 (2026), João was promoted to captain of a large superyacht and said in May 2026 that he won't be returning to the franchise.
