What went down
Brian flirted with Courtney from ep 2 despite competition from Ashton; they kissed at a club in ep 6 and while swimming in ep 7. He took her on a date in ep 12 and they kissed in his bunk in ep 14, but things soured when he texted relationship worries mid-shift (ep 15) and demanded she back him over Kate. Courtney ended it in ep 17 after he called her disloyal.
How it landed
Courtney broke it off in ep 17; the finale described the relationship as swinging from 'super chill' to 'tears and yelling.'
